Today’s I’ve made an Easter themed card for the Friday Mashup Challenge Blog. And I have to say, this post is kind of bittersweet. As you’ll read over on the Friday Mashup blog today, it’s our last challenge. Holly Endress, the creator of the challenge blog, has decided to close it’s virtual doors. So, I will wish her well and will keep in touch for sure. Here’s my card for today-
Today’s challenge is a sketch challenge:
You can also mash up the sketch with the Easter Theme. Join us for our last challenge, and check out the other girls’ designs here.
I used the stamps (leaves and flowers) from a Stampin Up! Sale -a-Bration set and pieced the cross together from Foam Cork Letter Stickers – kinda fun way to use the letters. It was the letter “T”, then I added a little section above. I would say it’s terribly Easter-themed but maybe more subtle.
I am going to miss the Friday Mashup challenge, for sure. I think this card came about as part of using us more of my supplies. I’ve been trying to use what I have and NOT spend $200+ each month on supplies… which is where I was at with keeping up with Stampin’ Up. One of the keys to keep up blogging and posting online without overspending is to design for companies. They will send you products or give you store credit and you post for them, and on your own blog as well. Something to consider if you’re interested in blogging for profit. Or at least NOT at a loss. LOL
Hope you’re having a great week, and happy Friday!
